A web site of global proportions for local proprietors, pro bono.
March 12, 2010
WINTER PARK, FL - Aeon Blu, a third-year sponsor for Central Florida Earth Day, designed and developed the new interactive web presence for the 2010 event to be held at Lake Eola on April 24.
“Originality and functionality are key to everything we do. Keeping all of the client’s goals in mind, we wanted to provide a comprehensive design that would also serve as a functional “go to” center for all of the event information” notes Aeon Blu web designer, Anna McCambridge.
Facilitating the delivery of information, telling a story, being original, raising awareness, and gaining support; all of these areas were important to the event organizers. To meet their need for easy management of the site’s content, Aeon Blu used it’s own robust and customizable bluHQ content management framework. This system provides an admin-friendly interface for the organizers to edit all of the site’s content. Aeon Blu also served as a marketing consultant and one stop shop for both online and print materials.
In response to widespread environmental degradation, Gaylord Nelson, a US Senator from Wisconsin, founded the first Earth Day which included over 20 million participants. Earth Day is now celebrated yearly by more than 500 million people and several national governments in 175 countries. This year marks its 40th anniversary.
